Imo Celebrity will slash prices to fill ships because of their recent & substantial price increases & that will come after the final payment dates . People who wait until after final payment will get pricing close to normal prices ;)

Probably true. Case in point, November 18 sailing on the Equinox. Today's prices Balcony $1449 and concierge $1699. X-citing prices Tuesday, balcony $1099 and concierge $1249.

Do the higher rates come with included perks?

Funny ive been following this November 18 cruise on Equinox daily and unless I missed it that price came down to $1599 then to $1749 and back down to $1699 and thats it. I never seen concierge down to $1249. I check multiple times a day but could have missed it.

That $1249 price is for the Exciting Deals - concierge cabin, and not available at that price until 8/30. No perks come with Exciting Deals pricing.

Not true. This past April we got an X-citing deal on the 9 day Baltic cruise on the Silhouette. It included the pick two perk.

Well then count your blessings! The terms & conditions for Exciting Deals read as follows:

"The Exciting Deals rate program is valid for new bookings only, is not combinable with any other offer or promotion and does not count towards tour conductor credits."

This is a 50/50 chance just like rolling the dice in the casino.

Our 2015 10 day Thanksgiving sailing on the Equinox last yr never got close to what we paid on Black Friday 2014 with all 4 perks and double OBC. We were in an Aqua 2, and our next door neighbors paid $480 pp more after final than we did with no perks.

It seems to be the Med, TA's, and Far East cruises that get the big after final drops.

Currently Nov. 18 Equinox shows concierge $1299 and veranda $1099, for both resident and 55+ prices that are available to book right now.

 

 

That price is with no perks. The higher price includes perks.

We think that there is a angle to the recent price increases & definitely will come down after final payment dates .;)

Reason for my opinion is that if Celebrity were to keep their prices so very high ,then there would be many cruisers looking to other cruise lines & if they wanted more luxury then lines like Oceania ,Viking ,Seaborn . For the normal main line cruisers Princess & Holland America are good alternatives ;)

I think that in addition to lower prices after final payment, we will start seeing depressed prices for Caribbean cruises, unless the spread of Zika virus is broght under control. It seems like every day there are additional warnings from the CDC as they learn more about its transmission.
