Shuttle or Taxi? FLL

Do you prefer to use a shuttle or taxi to get from the airport to your hotel and from your hotel to the port. Also, from port to airport?

 

If you like shuttle service - any particular ones that you prefer?

In Fort Lauderdale if we are staying in resonable proximity to the airport we just take a taxi. There are many hotels to choose from. Same from Hotel over to the Port.

FLL and Port Everglades are 5 minutes apart - The SE17th Street hotels (the best area for cruisers to stay in) is less than 10 minutes from FLL and just outside the entrance to Port Everglades... Just grab a taxi... The shuttles are for those going from FLL to Miami.

For pre-cruise, I usually book a hotel with an airport/cruise port shuttle. I don't mind going early or if we have a little wait for the shuttle bus. On the return, we just buy a "taxi" fare which is often a large van that has a trailer for the luggage. It's the most economical way to travel.

Sounds like we will do a taxi from our hotel to the port as it should just be a short ride. We are staying at the Marriott Beach Place. How far is that from the airport and should we also take a taxi to do that instead of a shuttle?

Yes, Marriott Beach Place is 10-15 minutes from FLL, just grab a taxi.
