ajpack Posted September 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2009 We have a hump cabin (7616) booked on Navigator and a corner aft (9690) has become available for not much more money. Would you change cabins? I need some advice...never had an aft cabin or a hump cabin.
05mak05 Posted September 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2009 We stayed in several of the corner aft balconies. #9690 was not our favorite. The room is great and we like the round window. But the balcony is only partially covered. We were on a Western Caribbean itinerary in January and found it to be too hot to enjoy. Heading back to Galveston, the sun was intense. If you have this stateroom for Alaska or Canada/New England, you'd probably be fine. The plus is that the balcony is huge and make the room seem bigger, too. nvbabe Posted September 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Hi Anne.....Go for the aft, we'll right above you if it's for Sept. 2010. IAs long as you don't mind walking (I like to burn the calories) the aft is really nice. If you like to sit on the veranda while the ship is moving you won't get the wind, like you do on the side. The weather shouldn't be too warm, we did aft on the Brillance in the Med the same time of year and it was perfect.
yogimax Posted September 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2009 We're looking forward to our first stern balcony on the Legend. The hump is great, but I have a feeling this will be better.
reallyitsmema Posted September 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2009 http://www.romain-moisescot.com/voyagerclass/albums/cabins/aftbalconies/93909690/gallery/_gallery.html This might help you decide. Notice that that particular aft balcony does not have a sliding door, it has a single door. That cabin also has a porthole too.

reallyitsmema Posted September 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2009 If this isn't a stupid question..what window??? Doesn't it have sliding doors? Did you click on the link in my post? It shows both the round window and the single door instead of the sliding door. Not sure if you were asking me or someone else because it looks like we posted at same time.
