We're coming back to Princess for Thanksgiving week. This will be our 7th Princess cruise and second one on the Emerald. Any major changes since 2007?

The dbarkation process has been greatly improved in the last few years. I am ot sure if it was changed before your last cruise.

Sailed on her last April and just heard she would be in drydock in early December. We sail her in January. Can't imagine what they could do in dry dock to make her better......great ship

Yes I believe it is all ships. It changed before our recent Alaska cruise on the Diamond and has been widely reported for the other ships here on the board as well.

Thanks. We became Platinum on our last cruise--and by the time we made it to the lounge set aside for Platinum passengers, they told us we could disembark. And there were not any long lines to wait in leaving.

We're coming back to Princess since 07, too. The changes sound great. We're now Platinum with Princess, but HAL had the itineraries and prices we liked best on our last few cruises.

 

Has Princess's service improved any? On the Crown in 07 good service was "spotty" at best and practically non-existant in Horizon Court. After 4 previous wonderful cruises on Princess that was a disappointment. We heard from some fellow CC'ers onboard that it was because a large portion of the crew were finishing up their contracts and just coasting along until they could go home. I have no idea how true that was, but one of the waiters we had did say that one was his first and last cruise contract. We've got high hopes for the next 2 Princess cruises.

Sailed on the Emerald in March....beautiful ship, wonderful staff.

 

Just got off the CB and soft serve ice cream is free at Scoops. Chocolate, vanilla or twist in cones with either chocolate or rainbow sprinkles!! Small cones, but the soft serve was thick and creamy. Not the gritty ice milk:)
