I've only had 1 balcony, but I've noticed on every cruise that people let their cabin doors slam as well. Those things are heavy, too. It's really annoying when you're already in bed & people are going in & out of their cabins, just letting the doors slam shut. This is a pet peeve of mine at home as well. I just don't understand why people seem unable to turn a door handle & shut a door quietly. I mean, are they literally racing out the door? And it's not just cruises, either. Hotels are the same way.

Yeah and my neighbor can't hear her dog barking at all hours either:rolleyes:

 

In the old days before caller ID, when our neighbor's dog would start up in the middle of the night, I would call her number & hang up when she answered. Now that she was awake, she would hear the dog & go let it in. Sure hope she's not on cruise critic!
