Tax increase when itinerary changes?

They made me pay. I had a increase on Ecstasy I think it was, back last January, had booked well in advance. Prices dropped.

I had to pay the difference, my TA advised me if I didnt, that Carnival was within their rights to charge it to my S&S card if I failed to pay them beforehand. (I was saying I didnt think I should have to pay the extra, but then prices dropped so it became a moot point, I couldnt get the whole price drop).

After you book, your price is locked in as far as increases, with the exception of the fuel surcharge.

No fees are locked in ... where do you see that the add on taxes and fees are locked in in their contract?? My TA I had disagrees with you.

The cruise price is locked in.....but not taxes, fees and fuel surcharges. Here, from the passenger ticket contract:

7. CARNIVAL’S RIGHT TO INCREASE FARES, CANCEL OR CHANGE VOYAGE, CHANGE STATEROOM ASSIGNMENTS

(a) Carnival reserves the right to increase published fares and air fare supplements without prior notice. However, fully paid or deposited guests will be protected, except for fuel supplements, government taxes, other surcharges and changes to deposit, payment and cancellation terms/conditions which are subject to change without notice.
