Tax increase when itinerary changes?

When Carnival changes up the itinerary on you after booking and the taxes increase does Carnival make you pay that difference?

I don't think so. Even if that were the case, the amount has to be extremely small. I'd be surprised if taxes varied by $5 a person in that case.

They made me pay. I had a increase on Ecstasy I think it was, back last January, had booked well in advance. Prices dropped.

 

I had to pay the difference, my TA advised me if I didnt, that Carnival was within their rights to charge it to my S&S card if I failed to pay them beforehand. (I was saying I didnt think I should have to pay the extra, but then prices dropped so it became a moot point, I couldnt get the whole price drop).

No fees are locked in ... where do you see that the add on taxes and fees are locked in in their contract?? My TA I had disagrees with you.

I have had taxes go up after booking and once had a credit for the taxes being lowered so I think up until sailing you would be charged. Both times it was maybe about $10.

Increase or decrease in fees can be passed on....read the contract....fuel surcharges also.

The cruise price is locked in.....but not taxes, fees and fuel surcharges. Here, from the passenger ticket contract:

(a) Carnival reserves the right to increase published fares and air fare supplements without prior notice.
