Disembarkation 8AM... Hotel Check in 3PM... Suggestions!!

Any Suggestions?

Disembarkation occurs at 8am... and we will have all our luggage with us and check in doesnt usually occur at the hotel until 3pm. What do you usually do????

Call the hotel and ask if you can have an early check-in. If they say no, ask if they will store your luggage for you. You then can sight see, use the pool, or whatever you like.

And you do not have to rush off the ship. Take your time and enjoy some breakfast before you go. Usually the hotel can store your luggage for you until your room is available. I do this all the time.

Thanks for the replies. I didint realize you do not have to leave the ship ASAP. We're crusing with NCL any idea what time you HAVE to be off by?

Actually, most ships want you off ASAP---they don't let you "linger". Just call the hotel and let them know you'll be arriving early...the belldesk will store your bags until a room is open.

Depends on the ship; they will let you know. Around 9 or 9:30 a.m.

I usually get kicked off eventually around 9:30 or at last call. Its actually shorter line waiting and easier to find your luggage. :D

Depending on the cruise, some NCL ships let you hang on til almost 10 a.m. Then there is still a bit of a delay to get off, get your luggage, locate your hotel. Often when I've "just shown up " at the front desk of the hotel, they'll scurry to get my room ready right away (assuming the last guest has left!). Otherwise, they'll generally take your luggage, and it'll be either in your room when you get back, or waiting for you . Just ask at the front desk.

Depending on when you arrive at the hotel, they may be busy checking out guests. I've had that happen but they were most helpful in putting my luggage in a locked room until my room was ready.

Possibly be able to arrange a debarkation tour of some type. Cruise lines offer these, however, they end up at the airport. Should be some type of tour operator in the area to work with. Good luck. Harry :cool:

On our trip a few weeks ago we waited until the very end to get off the ship, took our time getting a cab, and still ended up at our night-after hotel in South Beach at 10:00 a.m. We fully intended to just ask the front desk to hold our luggage while we went to the beach for a few hours and were pleasantly surprised to be told that we could check in early for just $25.00 extra. Not bad for getting there 5 hours early. Maybe you could call your hotel and see if they have a similar deal....the worst they could say is "no"....
