patience32 Posted November 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2009 Hi We would like to book the Azamara Quest but being one of those sinful smokers would like to know where the smoking decks are? I realise we can't smoke in our cabin [not that we would anyway] or our balcony. But would like to choose a deck that was close to an outside smoking area ? Any ideas on which deck or part of the ship to choose ? Many thanks
Rare LHT28 Posted November 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2009 Smoking is only permitted on the Pool deck 9 in one section & a small portion of the lounge deck 10 So Deck 8 is the closest cabins ;)
patience32 Posted November 6, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted November 6, 2009 Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for one side of the prominade deck? Is this not an option ?
tgg Posted November 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2009 LHT28 just gave you both options. There are no others. It's a small ship so you'll never be far from anything. Enjoy your cruise.
Susan-M Posted November 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2009 I was hoping for one side of the prominade deck? Is this not an option ? There isn't really a promenade deck ... but a walking/jogging track up on deck 10 (a non-smoking area.) Outside smoking (in a somewhat sheltered area) is starboard deck 9, forward of the pool area. You'll be able to access it fairly quickly from the forward stairs or elevator.
swigso Posted November 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2009 Hi, We have sailed twice on Az, my wife smokes and the smoking area by the Pool bar is towards the front of the ship. Don't be put off by the smoking policy, you will meet some great people and we certainly found that the smokers seem to have the most fun. I would guess that from any cabin on deck 7 it is 5 minutes at the most.
California Native Posted November 7, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2009 Hi,and we certainly found that the smokers seem to have the most fun. . My father would have totally agreed with you, until he contracted lung cancer from smoking and died to the op... Us dull boring non smokers appreciate that you are considerate enough to respect the areas set aside for your enjoyment Have a wonderful cruise! patience32 Posted November 7, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted November 7, 2009 Thank you all very much for your replies. I will book a high deck at the front :)
Redtravel Posted November 14, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2009 In the forward lounge on the left side. Indoor smoking lounge for those who need it. There is an air filter sucking up the smoke. Outside on the pool deck on the right side toward the front of the ship. There were only a few smokers on my last cruise.
