Mariner balconies

We're looking at a Mariner cruise this summer, and it seems most of the balconies on deck 8 are the only ones available. Are those with an obstructed view? Or is there something else I should be concerned about?

If a cabin has an obstructed view, it will be noted on the RCI website. I think there are 3-4 on deck 8, not sure tho'. Just book one that doesn't show obstructed. Deck 8 is pretty much in the middle of the ship..3 decks up to the pool and Windjameer and 3 decks down to the Promenade.

Funny you say that. We are booked of the FOS in Nov. and deck 8 also seems to have the most cabins available. These should be quiet cabins because they are in between passenger decks.

It may be because if you like to take the stairs it will be at least 3 decks either way to the public areas. Otherwise there might be a wait at times for the elevators especially at dining room times for dinner:D. Still a good cabin deck. We were on the Mariner 14 months ago and absolutely lovved it.
