I am not sure what else I am allowed to post, but we all have concern about our booked travel arrangement some of which go out beyond a year. Please feel feel to email me at JIM816@aol.com. Would appreciate any help! Many have been doing buisness with this TA for a long time.

Thanks,

Without naming names or giving other identity hints (which are forbidden), what do you mean by disappeared? Phone unanswered, messages not returned, how many days? Or as in police report of a missing person?

When this sort of thing happened in the past with a major TA going out of business, the first thing to do was find out if the CRUISELINE received your deposits and payments, which you can do by calling Celebrity and explaining the situation and/or checking your credit card statements to insure that the charge was cruiseline direct, not via the TA.

The bookings will remain as booked, but if the TA is truly out of business, another TA may take over the booking or more likely, the cruiseline will keep the booking. If you received incentives (OBC, insurance, gratuities, etc.) from the TA, they are likely gone.

From your signature, you have not recently reached final payment for your upcoming cruises, so you should be fine from a financial perspective. It may take a few weeks for the TA's official status to be known by the cruiseline and for any transfers to occur.

AS others have said, immediately contact the cruise line (lines) and make sure your booking is in order and they have received your payments. You can also simply check on the cruise line web sites for your booking info if you have your booking number. If you paid by major credit card you also can file a dispute claim with the credit card company to recover charges that were not appropriately processed. If you paid by check or cash, and the money was not forwarded to the cruise line than shame on you and consider it a learning experience.
