ChiBearsSuperFan Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2010 If you use a debit or credit card, the ship charges will be automatically billed back to the card on debarkation day.
ILUVCRUZEN Posted January 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2010 You can also go to pursers desk and pay it off with cash the night before debarkation. Just make sure you get a receipt. Some people don't have credit or debit cards and use a cash deposits.
firefly333 Posted January 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2010 When I used a debit card, it was automatically billed to the card I showed when I checked in at the end of the cruise.

Debit cards are handled much differently than credit cards, even if they have a logo on them. A hold will be placed as soon as you board the ship, and then each day more holds will be added for the charges. At the end the final bill will be submitted and eventually the holds come off. It has been reported that it takes as long as 2 or 3 weeks for the holds to disappear. Make sure you have more than enough cash so that you can pay your other bills. Best thing , use a credit card or cash.
