How to change from Main Dining to MTD

We're on our first cruise aboard Jewel of the Seas Baltic cruise in August and have opted for Early Main Dining. I presume that dining is at 6.00pm but now think this may be too early for us. We have one trip that doesn't get back to the ship until 6.00pm. How easy is it to change and would it be better to do this now, either through the travel agent or direct with RCL? Or... do we wait until we get aboard?

You have to prepay your tips to make the change (if you haven't already). If you wait until you board it is possible that it will fill up. Otherwise contact your TA or RCCL if you booked directly with them.

If you want to switch, try to do it now...you will have to pre-pay the tips, tho.

 

You really shouldn't have to rush to dinner on any night....if the ship leaves at 6 pm, you will be back at least 1/2 hour prior...

Have your TA call now and tell them you want to sign up for it. Otherwise it might be too late later on.

They will put the pre paid tips on your cruise balance.

You do not have to give the MTD a time until you are on the ship. :)

We loved the MTD our last B2B cruises and will never go back to the regular. :D

We ate in the Windjammer 2 nights each week and the Dining Room the rest.

Another option, unless you really wish to change, is to alert your waiter and table that you possibly won't be there that one evening.
