2Oregonians Posted October 31, 2010 #26 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Just fire it up and follow the instructions. You will need to know the cabin number and birth date of the parent whose minutes you will be using. Gracias!
Rockymountainsparky Posted October 31, 2010 #27 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Now my bubble has burst--have a new laptop and was planning on taking it with as I would rather spend the internet money somewhere else on the ship. You could always book a full suite and get unlimited internet.:p
cattolica Posted October 31, 2010 #28 Share Posted October 31, 2010 Sitting at the desk in my balcony cabin while docked in Valdez Alaska........caught a shore side internet signal. Booked a rental car for our next port of call..Seward Alaska. So, it might be urban legend, but.........didn't use one minute of my Princess internet time. Also downloaded maps of the Seward area so that we could decide where we were going to drive the car. :-)
Rare babs135 Posted November 1, 2010 #29 Share Posted November 1, 2010 Was wondering how reliable the internet is on board the ship (Diamond Princess). We were on the Rhapsody last November and people were complaining about how slow the connection was, etc.
paul929207 Posted November 1, 2010 #30 Share Posted November 1, 2010 Internet on cruise ships is via satelite and is slow. It is often compared to the old dial up days. Also, there is no guarentee of availability. We have had days when the internet was unavailable.
