Which of the 3 ports in Venice will the Journey be in?

Here is a link to a picture of the Venice Cruise Terminals' locations:

I keep getting conflicting information on exactly which one of the 3 the Journey will be located.

Here is a link that says the berth is VE029 and the zone is SBL. Does anyone know what that means?

I have already booked a hotel that is close to the San Basilio terminal. I was wondering if it will be close to where the Journey will be. Thanks for any information. Kathy

When I sailed on Celebrity to Venice, I was especially interested in where it would dock because I had foolishly purchased the "Venice Card" which is only sold prior to arriving and must be picked up in Venice. There were many locations available. Since I wanted the one closest to the ship, I called Celebrity and was given the info. It was in another plave and we were not close to St. Marks square...we were closer to the train station. Be aware that they may change docks....but there is supposed to be a free shuttle to town ( not sure what that means in Venice). Regardless, do not buy the Venice Card ..it was a ripoff. I still like Venice. It's easy to ride the vaporettos and just wandering through the back canals is very enjoyable.

The website: www.vtp.it shows that there are 3 areas where the cruise ships berth: TUES, SMT, & SBL. It is showing that the Azamara Journey berths at the SBL area. I'm thinking that it stands for San Basilio. I wish I could just get someone to point out on the map where the Journey berths so I can figure out how to get there from my hotel. I think the address that is given on the Azamara website is just where the office is located, not where it actually berths. :)

Wow, I hope you are right! That would be wonderful. It looks like it would be walking distance from our hotel (Antica Locanda Montin).

Looks pretty close ;)

the port is off Rio San Sabastiano on this map

Hi Kathy,

Did you change your plans from the 6/25 Equinox sailing to Azamara?

Just wondering...

Thanks,

Renee

Yes I did. We were booked on the Equinox and we were really looking forward to it. We found out that the first week in May would be a better time to be gone. We own our own business and alot of the Dr.s that we deal with will be gone to a convention in Hawaii the first week of May so it would work out better for us to be gone at the same time. Plus we have the added benefits cooler temps and lighter crowds.
