Can a party of 3 board separately?

My husband and I have hired a car to drive from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale, (driving down the day before the cruise) and we have to return the car on the day of the cruise. My husband wants to drop me and my son and the luggage off at the cruise ship and then take the car back to the rental place and grab a cab back. Will my son and I be able to board without him and if we do will he be able to board after us? Also how soon before setting sail do we have to be on board a Princess ship?

Thanks in advance,.

Yes, you can board at different times. Or, you could ALL return the car and take a cab to port--it costs the same for 1-4 people.

You should get on the ship ASAP--after all, boarding day counts as the 1st day you've paid for...why waste 1/2 of it NOT being on the ship?

Yes, so long as each of you has your own passport and documentation, you can board separately. Usually you have to be on board at least 90 minutes before the ship is to set sail. I always plan to be on board at least 2 hours before, in case there are any problems with paperwork or anything. ..

Actually, we've always been on board WAY earlier than that..around noon, for a 4 p.m. sailing.. :)

This would be hard as my son is 1 and needs a car seat and I have his pushchair etc etc. Much easier for hubby to drop us off and return I think
