HAL apologizes and gives us shipboard credit

Some of you may remember my posts about our Just for Us and Renewal of Vows packages that we had last month on the Oosterdam. Although we received every item in both packages, we had to deal with the front desk several times in order get what was promised. I wrote to my TA, she forwarded my letter and her own comments to HAL, and today she sent me a copy of the letter HAL sent to her.

 

In short, the letter apologized for HAL falling down on their "service of excellence" and offering us a $200 shipboard credit for our next cruise. I am very pleased that they apologized and thrilled with the credit. Since we did receive every tangible item (flowers, wine, etc.) that came with the package, they are reimbursing us for our frustration, etc.

 

This is better than I expected. Thanks, HAL!

It's very nice that you posted the results of your complaint. Good for you!

And good for HAL that they did something to try and make good on all the trouble you had to go through. It should never have happened, but it's nice to have the company acknowledge so.
