When does Carnival allow booking of Guarantee rooms category IS

I have always enjoyed being suprised at what room I am getting as well and having always recieved a significant upgrades (which I dont expect) for a low price point. It seems some ships have the IS available and others do not. When does Carnival offer the IS? Is this only within 6-7 months of sailing? I have not seen it reach out more than that. Is it hit or miss?

Thanks

Nick

Not sure if I am correct....but when booking my last cruise I noticed Dream had categories even cheaper than the Guaranteed IS rooms, and that puzzled me, prompting me to stick with the Glory.....Maybe the newer ships are doing away with it?

The Early Saver booking rate is usually lower than the "Guarantee/TBA" rate for any cabin. ken
