VISA for entering Egypt

My wife and I are sailing on Equinox in September stopping in Egypt. Do we need to do anything prior to boarding to obtain a special entry VISA or is that taken care of on ship?

We are cruising on the Oct 5th 2010 sailing on the Equinox and we have a private tour planned in Egypt. I found some infomation regarding Visas on the Celebrity Website and I wrote to them with my inquiry about the need to obtain a visa prior to the cruise. Their response is listed below:

 

Thank you for your inquiry. Celebrity does not require US passport holders purchase an Egyptian visa prior to departure; it is obtained onboard the ship.

No required vaccinations.

 

Always good to consult with you physician to ensure your normal vaccines are up to date and for any recommendations they have when you travel outside the USA in general.
