Do I have this right? Our ship, The Triumph, will dock close by. We can take the chair lift for $5 then the beach entrance is free, and we can purchase food, drinks, etc? Are there chair rentals available?

Besides the chair lift you can walk to the beach for free. There is no charge for the beach loungers.

The Triumph will dock there. 5 minute walk to beach, hang right and go past Fat Tuesdays once you come out of the walkway from the pier. paved pathway. Also chair lifts ($5--nice views but otherwise you can buy 2 beers). Beach is free. Loungers are set up just take one (no charge). 3 bars and covered areas for drinks and food. You have to pay for these. Also waitstaff walk around the beach. Water toys like kayaks (don't rent the clear bottom ones) and other items are available for rent (prices are a bit high and time of rental is a bit short for some items).
