An online check in question

When Carnival's online check in questionnaire asks about flight information, am I correct in assuming that this is only necessary if you book your flights through them or use their airport transfer services? Since we will be flying to the port city a day before the cruise leaves, on a flight I booked directly through the airline, and plan to take a cab from the hotel to the airport, I am assuming that Carnival doesn't need our flight information.

They use your flight departure time to assign your number for debarkation - those with earlier flights get a lower number. Good luck!:)

This is a relatively new question. I answered mine with the facts including the pre-cruise hotel name. I believe it helps them especially with embarkation and disembarkation procedures.

If you have an early flight at disembarkation all you have to do is let them know on the ship and they will give you priority tags to get off early........

For non-us residents it is a requirement of Homeland Security as well.
