Favorite Carnival Cabin

You are totally going to love it... I will post the pics as soon as I return. That is so ironic that you will be getting on, when we are getting off:D:D.

How can anyone be from Pittsburgh and not be some type of sports fan:confused:. Guess we are just bred that way:).

We also lucked out getting great rates for out flights. It was $200.00 roundtrip, Southwest for us. We fly in a day early and will be hanging out in South Beach for the day on Friday. This just doubled our excitement also...

Enjoy your cruise. I look forward to your review when you return.

PittsburghGirlee-

I am getting more and more excited by the minute - I am totally sick of snow! Everything I've read on Cruise Critic helps me feel the Aft Balcony cabins were a great choice. We are a group of around 44 people going for my nephew's wedding on the beach in St. Thomas. We're scattered all over the ship, but a lot of us are in the Aft balcony cabins on 8.

Enjoy your Aft wrap balcony. I can't wait to read your review!

It is so funny we'll be passing each other in the Miami Port! Leave some alcohol and some of that great food for us, okay! LOL

Go Pens!!!

My fave cabin, considering I have/will have stayed in the same cabin on three different ships is 9294 on the Conquest Class ships. It is the last cabin on Lido deck, it has no cabin above or beside to keep you awake...

My second fave is Spa sute 1029 on Splendor...it was fabulous!!!!!

I know that everyone has different opinions on what rooms they like and dislike, but I was wondering what your favorite cabin was and on what ship?

For us, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the aft balconies. ALthough we have had 3 of them, my favorite so far was:

Carnival Liberty - This is my favorite ship to date

Cabin #7451 - (It may change after May which will be our frst 9C wrap)

cruised in the-suite-formerly-known-as-a-penthouse grand suite on the sensation and LOVED it... but even better was 8265 on the pride, cat. 11 oceanview next to the aft wrap vista suite. layout was awesome, dressing room area kick butt, jaccuzi seemed a bit bigger, and with the glass sliding showerdoor no funny curtain to deal with.

I know. I am crazy, but when money is tight and I need to cruise but can't afford a balcony, I love the Conquest class Corner Aft Oceanviews (2470 and 2473). The size of a suite for the price of an oceanview with Two windows.

looking for information splendor cabin 2470. wondering if it is like the other ships with two windows. any informtion would be helpful

thanks

We like any deck midship, but we discovered the hard way that our daughter is "directionally challenged" :D so for our next cruise we chose a cabin that can be seen from the main bank of elevators. And we'll decorate our door!!!

Since the airlines have always gotten me to the ports safely, my luggage has never been lost enroute, never had any problems getting on the ship and to my balcony cabins, so ALL my Carnival cabins have been great! Always pick balcony, portside, aft.

I would have to say 6452 on the Freedom. It is an Aft Warp cabin that was also a bit spacious inside. It had a couch in it so I was happy, but I really liked the window right over the bed. Of course the balcony was great.

I have 4228 on two upcoming Miracle cruises and also on the Spirit for the 15 day RT Hawaii from San Diego. I know it will be a favorite mainly for the seperate rooms.

I took an upsell to a GS (old Cat 12) on the Spirit in May. I loved how much room we had, but they could do a lot more to the cabin if they really want to call it a "Grand Suite". Still, it was nice and I loved the size of the bathroom.

For the record, I loved my 1A on the Imagination last year. It was my first solo cruise and I found the cabin cozy and nice for one person. I was also on the Emperess Deck and right next to the back stairs that lead directly to the Serenity area and Lido buffett.

We had our first cruise (Conquest) planned back in 08' and that was when I was introduced to CC. I asked a ton of questions and everyone was very helpful. After our cruise I made a monster review with a ton of pics as a 'thanks' for everyone's help. We loved our cabin and I was asked several times which one it was. I made the mistake of telling what number it was and I haven't been able to get the same cabin again lol....almost a year is advance.

Top floor Panorama deck, balcony, nobody to your right (as private as a balcony can get if you know what I mean), facing the port on each Jam/GC/Coz stops (I hear we lucked out), twelve feet from the door out to the Lido, eight feet from the elevators (no noise from elevators). I don't know if the search feature you can find my review but it's somewhere on here. I LOVED that cabin and we have one more cruise on the Lady Conquest in Sept.

I cruise solo. My favorite cabin is one of the double window 1As at the back of the Main deck. Unfortunately, some of these have been converted to 6Bs. Even without the 150% solo supplement I'd still book those cabins rather than any other IS. I won't book any other 1A anymore. If I'm going to pay full price, I'll get a full size cabin.

We had 2470 on the Splendor July 2009. Yes, it does have two windows. Two chairs, one sofa. It is an awesome cabin. You will love it. Wish we could get one like this on every ship. Very large. There was never any noise from the dining room. It was a little bumpy at night, but not a problem. Be sure to take everything off the counter the night you leave Cabo and head north to Long Beach. The ship seemed to go extra fast and the vibration caused the items to rattle. We just put everything on the floor and it was fine. One negative was turning the TV channels with the remote from the bed. I think the distance was too far away. You had to be sitting on the edge of the bed in order for the remote to work. Reported the problem. They brought another remote, but it was the same result.

Our favorite cabins happen to be any of the balconies on the Port side aft ship, either on the Upper or Empress decks. Close to the adult aft pool, the Lido buffet, the dining rooms, and the casino/sports bar.

But then again, ask me after we get back from our Western cruise late October. We booked cabins on the Lido deck, and have a inkling that we will enjoy that area as well!

Tom-n-Cheryl - love those pics...I bet that was an awesome stateroom!!!

We had an OV on the Valor Main deck and I liked that one...midship, very little movement. OV on the Ecstasy...didn't like that ship as much, maybe it was just that class of ship...junior suite aft balcony of RCI Grandeur (don't tell the RCI people, but I thought the aft balcony on the Valor that someone else in our group had was much better for cheaper!), and our upcoming cruise on CCL Freedom is a balcony on Empress...which I picked because it's between two decks with staterooms...never stayed in an inside, but if it was a choice between no cruise and an inside, I'd definitely take the inside! Sigh...if only I didn't have to wait until December for my next cruise...;)

In retrospect (and my mind was jogged when I read the "when money is not a concern" statement)... I guess I should instead list the Owner's Suite on the Sensation (Cabins S1 and S2):

That's gorgeous!!!

I was going to say the Cat. 11 we had on one of our cruises. It was an upgrade given at check in. BUT, that owners suite tops everything!!

I know that my wife and I would hate to try and decide which ship we would call our favorite. The least favorite would be a much easier pick. For that we would definately say the Miracle. Don't get me wrong, it was a very nice ship. I really didn't like the lay out of the ship very much. Plus, my wife had a big problem with the movement of the ship. For the first time she had a problem with sea sickness. She was better after the first day and a couple of pills. But back to the favorite ship. Well, we will be sailing on the Liberty for the second time next year. Plus we were able the to the same cabin from our 2007 cruise. So for that reason I will agree with you on the Liberty.

That owner's suite is amazing!

We loved 7448 on the Dream. It's an L-shaped cabin and the balcony is absolutely amazing. It's also far enough up to where people on the promenade can't stare up onto your balcony and it's sandwiched between decks with cabins so it was quiet.
