Sea Born Posted February 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2010 Can we bring our own food from each port on the Victory? You can take things like pre-packaged granola bars or the little boxes of cereal, but other than that, nothing else. gecko2gecko Posted February 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2010 From port to ship is the same as from ship to port?
salty dingo Posted February 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2010 From port to ship is the same as from ship to port? I'm not aware of restrictions on food being brought onto a cruise ship. Mostly, the rules concern food brought off. Few people would bypass the free food onboard in favor of something they buy in port. If you mean food packaged intended to be brought home as souveniers, like rum cakes, that is fine, as long as it is not fresh fruit or vegetables. big_duck Posted February 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2010 There may not be a problem bringing fresh food on board, but no way can you bring it back off the ship.

firefly333 Posted February 13, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 13, 2010 OP are you talking about buying touristy stuff back onto the ship, like rum cakes. Are you asking about from the ports to the ship?
zellers Posted February 15, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2010 We bought Tortuga Rum Cakes product of Cayman Islands in Florida, for a fraction of the price they sell on the ship and ports - $9.99 for the golden original 16oz rum cake that sells on the ships $25. Can't remember the name of the store, but I am sure someone who works in retail there can direct you on where to purchase them.
