firefly333 Posted February 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2010 You mean if you cruise Carnival you shouldnt expect the same level of service?? Im confused what you mean. I too have heard the level of service on Disney is great. I dont feel that way overall about Carnival. ... so I shouldnt expect it?

egh170 Posted February 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2010 If you think Disney pricing is out of line, consider this. About half of Disney passengers are not adults. Thus liquor sales will be less than Carnival, and Disney has no Casino so the revenue must come from elsewhere( Cruise Fares).

Crap...no way I could go on Disney...I usually win my cruise fare in the casino at the poker table. That's it...I stay with Carnival..... j/k...I gotta take my kids on at LEAST ONE Disney Cruise. gecko2gecko Posted February 16, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2010 If I could get a Disney cruise for the price of a Carnival cruise, I definitely would. That being said, last time I priced a room on Disney for our family, it was almost 6k for a 3 day Bahamas cruise. That's a LOT of other places my girls could go for the price. OP...I saw the other thread and got what you meant. ;)

pinkbarbie Posted February 16, 2010 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Totally understood. I priced a seven day on Disney and it was 10K. We could visit Disney World for 10 days and go on a 7 day cruise on carnival and still not spend that. WAY TOO HIGH.

I was only going to get 5 days of park tickets, but after purchasing 4 days, the price is only about $6/day. They should do that with the cruises. 4 day cruise....$599/pp for an interior...$6/pp for each additional day...lol :):D:):D:p

That is what we did a few years ago and I don't think hubby or I could have done any more than that. EVERYTHING is geared to the kids. Not that I would expect anything else. Even when we went to an area for dancing (yes we took our grandkids) the little ones had control of the dance floor (mine including). Don't get me wrong, i loved watching them and dancing with them but hubby and I did miss the adult stuff like the casino etc. Linda

live.love.cruise Posted February 16, 2010 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2010 We tried Disney last year....wasn't impressed with their service or food! I booked during the kid’s sail free special….we paid $750 for 2 adults & 1 child for the 3 night cruise in May. Although I believe that every child should experience a Disney cruise (and…I'm thinking about their new ship next year), I don't think they offer anymore than the rest....oh, yes they do...fireworks!!
