jstanokiegal Posted March 4, 2010 #101 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Isn't it fun to post a review and people enjoy it???? I love that my zany friends have joined in!!!:D:D More pictures please Sheila on "Donna's Review"......ha-ha! Keep em coming, we love them:D Thanks, Donna, but don't want to take over your review or spoil it. I honestly think (before I go into too many details) I should start my own review. This has been GREAT therapy for me! I called and cancelled my anger management class today! BAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! Seriously---I would really like to tell the good and the bad of my cruise. It might actually be a hit and save me tons of money in therapy and anger management? LOL

OttawaCountess Posted March 4, 2010 #107 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Great review. I love reading about others cruises. We just got of the Dream in Jan. One question I have is - did Carnival do anything special to celebrate Valentine's day while onboard??? I want to book next year same time and wondering since it is my DH's birthday on that day too! Thanks.
hot cocoa Posted March 4, 2010 #108 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Thank you, thank you , thank you Donna, Sheila, & Andrae!!! I LOVED this review! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I CAN'T WAIT until April, and I'm on the Conquest. I was ROTFLMAO @ the pics, comments, and especially the "Frito Bandito." I've even posted the link to it (and Kathy's) on my 4/11 roll call to share w/ my fellow cruisers. THANKS AGAIN. Keep up the good work.

[Taking advantage of Donna's invitation to jump in] They did some special Valentine's Day-themed photos, a special chocolate dessert in the dining room (it was really good) and red carnations for the ladies. SoonerOne Posted March 4, 2010 Author #110 Share Posted March 4, 2010 We were sitting at the table right behind you Made' (the waiter) in the picture where he is singing in the ketchup bottle! We had a great table too... and we always noticed that your table was having a lot of fun! :) Did you notice on the last night that Made' was getting frusterated with Raul (the asst. waiter) really bad! It was kinda funny, because Raul always had that huge smile on his face. It was like it didn't bother him if things weren't going perfect or not- he was just having fun! Hi drparker82! I can't believe you were sitting right behind us!!! We had some really "unsual" things, or shall I say characters  sitting at the big table for 10. The DH and I actually sat at a table for 2 but joined the festivities with the big table. They made our dining at night more fun!!!:D What did you think of the cruise??? It was fantastic, right? arthierry Posted March 4, 2010 #115 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Now a few from Jamaica Pulling into Jamaica, we were saw that we were in the presence of MSC Peosia. I think it is from Ft. Lauderdale. This is I. Ready to get into some Jerk anything! The Marching Band saluting us as we get ready to depart. This is Candy. Our wonderful tour guide. One of the locals doing wood carvings. He said that a lot of his work is sold to major hotel chains. His work was amazing and I did not snap one picture of his work. He truly was skilled and gifted. This is KFC. From what we discovered, the KFC in Jamaica is the busiest in the world.

arthierry Posted March 4, 2010 #118 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Here's a few from Cayman.... Lets go swim with the Dolphins There were 4 cruise ships in port Whole fried jerk Red Snapper... It was $15 a plate, but I would've paid $50. This was the best food I've had in my life. It was sold right on the strip as you get into Cayman at a tent. Fresh from the locals. Postcard ready. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful water. fresh coconut milk from the local.
arthierry Posted March 4, 2010 #119 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Let's head over to Mexico. This was/is my favorite port of call. This was a man posing as a clay statue TWINS OK. Let me explain this one. You know when you go to a bachelor or bachlorette party and they have those cakes that the people pop out of. Well we were at Fat Tuesdays and people were popping in and out the whole time. Well she comes along and decided that she wanted in on the action. To our surprise she did more than pop in and out. She gave us the entire show. At this point, we already had a few drinks and we were live. I love this picture. This was taking on the pier as we were headed back to the ship. This is my gang. As you can see, the Valor was backing out. It attacked me

arthierry Posted March 4, 2010 #121 Share Posted March 4, 2010 This was delivered to our room after we'd taking the Behind the fun tour. $95 and well worth it. Book as soon as you board the ship, (or as soon as the excursion desk opens) as it was only limited to 16 people per group and ONLY 2 groups. I bought my honey a cake from Bon Voyage This was one of the teams, (red, white & blue) at the casino bar before the MardiGras deck party. She was tearing the dance floor up. This is Sheila (jstanokiegal) & I. This was taking after she won the air guitar contest. You go gal! That's my CC pal and she's lovely. This is mother dearest dancing the conga line during the deck party. That was tons of fun.

But here is a dessert. Can't remember the name, but it was caramel apples This is from the steakhouse, AKA "The Point". Surf and Turf New England Crab Cake. This was the bomb. This is some extra appetizers that the chef sent with compliments. I don't know why, but we loved it. I guess since we were a big group . Escargot. DELISH....
