joejenna1 Posted April 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Has anyone ever heard of an 18 day cruise on the crown princes that starts in Toronto and ends in Ft Lauderdale? Ive seen in on cruise.com but it is not on the princes website. It sails Oct12.
Toto2Kansas Posted April 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Makes me wonder if that isn't an error on that website, as there is no cruise or even a combination of cruises, for the Crown in October for that many days sailing (I just checked). If it doesn't show up on Princess.com and you can't find cruises that when combined equal to that amount of days over that date, I would contact the website and enquire if this sailing isn't posted in error. mississauga Posted April 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2010 I don't think that it is possible for a cruise to depart from Toronto. There is no way that a cruise ship of any size would be able to get in to Lake Ontario.

There is a 13 day cruise from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale. Maybe they are combining a landtour of 5 days from Toronto to Quebec City and then passengers would board the Crown Princess on the 17th. ggprincess2004 Posted April 2, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2010 There is a Princess cruise that departs from Quebec City.....I think that is the Crown repo down to FLL. Might want to take a look at that one. Apparently great minds think alike, at the same time.

Toronto doesn't have a dock that is equipped for cruise ships . Are you thinking of Montreal or Quebec City ? Maybe it is a local cruise line that does cruises on the Great lakes. Maraprince Posted April 2, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 2, 2010 This sounds like a combo of a pre cruise land tour and then the cruise starts. Princess did something like that before on a sailing that combined a land tour going down the east coast and then sailed out of Red Hook. We got all excited about it until, like you, we could find no sailing date that matched up with it. The actual sail date was the regular 9 day voyage out of NY with the pre land tour added on. Jeff_R Posted April 2, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Btw, Quebec City is a really wonderful experience. I go there several times per year to visit clients and in the summer it is really wonderful. It's really the closest thing we have to "old Europe" here in North America. I'd highly recommend a visit if you haven't been. A cruise out of Quebec City would be a great start to your vacation.

Jeff_R Posted April 2, 2010 #13 Share Posted April 2, 2010 That's a great itinerary...everything they have listed there for the land tour portion in Canada is excellent. The hotels are all top notch hotels as well. 2 days in Quebec City is lovely, the Montreal Notre Dame Cathedral is breathtaking, the Ottawa Museum of Civilization....wow.
