Carnival is planing a third dream class vessal, due in 2012, so how do they pick the name?, wat should be the name? i like Carnival Spectacular but thats kinda long lol, how bout u?

When they choose a name, I hope it will be a unique name. It seems that all the cruise lines have ships with similar names:

 

Carnival Freedom --> Freedom of the Seas

Carnival Liberty --> Liberty of the Seas

Norwegian Jewel --> Jewel of the Seas

Norwegian Star --> Star Princess

Carnival Magic --> Disney Magic

 

See what I mean?

I agree about the lack of originality in current ship names. However, with the number of cruise ships now floating about the attempt to be unique might lead to such wonderful names as Carnival Frog.

I don't know why lines name their ships similarly.

 

I will say that I do love the idea of the Carnival Treasure.

 

They should do a ship naming vote or something like that. That'd be cool.

How about Evolution,after building 1 that has some problems and with the next one will to .So they are evolving. The third one should have all the problems solved.I think that Evolution would be a good name .They had a contest for the Destiny.I said the Oasis , lost to the name Destiny. I should have enter the naming of RCCL newest ship.
