Is there a movie theater on Freedom? What does it usually play? I would guess films recently released on dvd???? Has anyone cruised recently & remembers what was showing? What channels does stateroom tv broadcast?

Yes, they are not "first run movies" but relatively recent ones. You are likely to have seen them, unless you *never* go to the movies.

I would bet it does have one forward on deck 2, since Voyager class has it there. It should be on the deck plans.

Typically, cruise ships run movies that have completed their first run in theaters but are awaiting video release.

 

Once saw a "Pirates of the Caribbean" film while our ship was underway and the rocking of our ship added to the experience. Better than 3D. :cool:

Just wanted to add that there are 3 or 4 showings of the same movie every day (changes daily). Times and titles were in the the compass.

On Voyager-class ships (and Freedom I'm guessing), the "screening room" is more like "room with a few chairs, small screen, and standard computer projector." It's fine if you need something to do, but don't get your hopes up. :)

Last week the FOS was playing the movies Up, Julie and Julia, and the Proposal, which have all been released on DVD already.
