We haven't been on a RC ship in several years, but we just booked the Royal Suite on the Grandeur in September. Other than the obvious, what amenities / privileges come with Cabin 8500?

Just a couple of extras that aren't widely thought of are...free pressing of your formal (or what ever you're wearing) clothing on formal nights..slippers (which you can take home with you)..

Here is the list of amenities you can expect.......but can vary by ship and especially since you have booked the RS.

 

There is no Concierge Lounge on Board, but I am sure that they make it up to you in some other way.

If I had seen it on the RCCL site, I wouldn't have asked. I guess what is clearly stated to some is hard to find for others.

I also booked a 2 suites, Royal Family and Grand Suites for 7 of us, next week Splendour of seas out of Venice. I also had a difficult time finding the suite perks, and am finding out it depends on the class of ship as per which ones you will get. I know that on the splendour there is not reserved seats by pool or the show (little disappointed about that) but I think we will enjoy the other perks.

My boys and I are sailing on the Explorer of the Seas on July 3rd to Bermuda - also booked the Royal Suite. I'd love to hear about your cruise and what you think about the suite aboard the Splendor. Also, we sailed on the Enchantment in 2009 and had been told we would be met by a member of Senior Staff upon reached the terminal (another unadvertised Royal Suite perk). This did not happen for us and I verified it to be a true perk - perhaps in part to the fact I went through general boarding and not priority boarding (the lines were not long, so why bother). I'd be curious to know if you are escorted by Senior staff.

It all depends on the ship and the port. We've only been met one time on the Serenade out of San Juan. The Concierge greeted us in the terminal and escorted us onboard.
