islandgirlejfan Posted August 5, 2010 #51 Share Posted August 5, 2010 This is the one we had on the Sky and the Pearl. Love this coffee maker! There's nothing like dining in Cagneys and the awesome aft balconies in the AE's We can't book anything else now!

odblnt Posted August 5, 2010 #53 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Is there a concierge lounge for suite guests? I think they call the Star Bar a concierge lounge during the daytime. That's where the concierge has his desk and can often be found there. No real snacks or goodies, though.
slyfox0113 Posted August 5, 2010 #54 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Yes. After you go through security and check in, they will bring you over to the VIP lounge and there is food and drink there and the concierge will give you your ID and someone will escort you onto the ship. IT'S WONDERFUL!!! :D We were only in that room for about 60 seconds so I really didn't get a good look. lol The room was a good size, there were plenty of chairs, refreshments like fruits, cookies, some other desserts, bottled water, I think coffee or ice tea not really sure. The concierge comes in and introduces her/himself. While we waited me mingled and talked to some people we met on our meet and greet board here on cruise critic. Our butler came and along with the concierge escorted us to our rooms. Its a great way to start off your cruise, relaxed and pampered right off the start. We will never cruise in anything but a suite and only NCL has the perks we want.
nancy591 Posted August 5, 2010 #55 Share Posted August 5, 2010 does the suite perk mentioned above also apply to the mini suite?

I'll have to check it out next month. :) We got to the pier about 11:30 and boom we were in the lounge in no time at all and the cruise director was at his table and handed us our ID cards and there were a few workers standing near the door and he had one of them take us on board. The guy even took my carry bag for me. No stopping for pictures cause we went in the 'back' way. ;) Loved every minute of it!

Rare kazu Posted August 5, 2010 #58 Share Posted August 5, 2010 The following thread is a "Live by LAFFNVEGAS" who usually sailed HAL suites and she compares NCL suites with HAL's. You should find it quite informative. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1188291&highlight=hal+ncl+suites Thank you very much. This is very kind of you.:):) Much appreciated.:)
