The obstruction is the criss-crossing sturctural beams across the back. You get used to it. And you get that great wake view. There are pictures posted somewhere, and someone will probably post a link.

Those are Bonnie Voyager's photos of Voyager of the Seas. We've been in 9692 and 8692 and it made little difference to us. Didn't even notice it after a while.
