Average July Temperature in Bar Harbor

We will be in Bar Harbor early July and wondering what to pack. What's the average temperature in July, esp. in Acadia National Park. Will we need a jacket?

When I visit in late June, I'm wearing a shirt & shorts. I have handy a windbreaker or a sweatshirt but I only wear them at the top of Cadillac Mountain on a damp foggy morning or waiting for the thunder at Thunder Hole on a damp foggy windy morning.

July is usually a lovely month, not as muggy as August. I think Sailbad has given a good answer. I would take a sweatshirt "just in case" .... or better yet stop in one of the stores in Bar Harbor and pick up a lovely souvenier to wear. http://www.coolasamoose.com/

Thanks for the link. Guess a light jacket is needed at Acadia. Just don't want to carry it around when touring the city.

Today in Maine it is 87 with big puffy white clouds high in the sky ... a lovely breeze too - Perfect day.

 

I truly think that this summer will end up being warmer than usual. Jan

This summer is already better than last summer. Last year it rained a lot through both June and July in Mass. It was a non-summer.
