Pre-Booking Food&Drink, Excursions..etc.

Hey all,

 

I've just reserved my first cruise vacation and registered on the RCCL for "My Cruise" so I can pre-book for several things & check-in online ahead of departure but it's not giving me options for dining and excursions etc just yet. My question is how soon before your cruise do these options usually become available. I'm cruising Dec 12, 2010.

It's still a bit far out to book those things....start checking around Sept.

Keep checking the my cruise website; the excursions, drinks, etc, open up at different times. I would have to say around 4-5 months prior.

Excursions should start showing up July/August. They don't always show up at once so if you don't see something you like, check back in a day or two and see if they added some more.

 

Unless you really want to book excursions with RC, you can find some great choices from third-party vendors on the ports of call boards: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=587

 

Restaurants generally show up 60-90 days out. You can start looking for those in September. They don't always show up at once either.

We are sailing in about 90 days and our dining options are not showing up yet. Excursions have been up for a couple of months.

We are sailing first week of Oct. and I haven't been able to book anything either. Called RCCL yesterday and they told me after July 8 I can start booking. Hope this helps.

We are also sailing first week of October and I was wondering when we'd be able to book excursions. There's nothing available listed on Royal's site. I guess it's different for every cruise. Do you know if you can pre-pay excursions or do you just book online and then pay for everything at the end? Thanks!
