We are in port from 6 am - 2 pm and would like some suggestions on what there could possibly be to do at 6 am? Breakfast? Suggestions? What time do shops open? Palace open time? We basically want to walk around, eat, shop and visit the palace.

We arrived in Monte-Carlo around 9am and restaurants and shops were just beginning to set up for opening that day. My guess is that most shops did not open until 9:30 or later. There were a few souvenir stands open but not much. You can still visit the Palace and possibly the Cathedral. The Palace wasn't open at 9am but you could still take pictures. There are several gardens to visit as well.

Nothing will be open at 6:00 AM other than some cafes. I would walk off the ship at around 7:30 AM and just walk around. It wil be less crowded and you can take some nice pictures and admire the beautiful views.

Places to see. Palace. Opens at 10:00 AM. You can always just see observe it from the outside or go there about 30 minutes before it opens and walk around outside and take some pictures.

Catherdral. Open at 10:00 AM. Located near the Palace. I would try to go inside.

You can take about a 30 minute walk from there over to the Grand Casino. That area is a nice place to people watch and to just walk around.

There are beautiful gardens and a very nice walk to take that are near the area of the Palace and the Church.

There are many other places to see but I think time will be a factor particularly because you are not there very long.

Keith has summarized well some of the options for your very limited time in Monaco. "Walking around" will be your best and main option at that very early hour. Below are some visual samples from our visit to Monaco. The terrain can be a little challenging for walking around in some parts of this town. How flexible is your budget? I would consider getting a cab at that early hour to take you to nearby Eze to enjoy the great views from this site overlooking the sea and coast.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

In Monaco, the Casino might be the most famous building:

Here is another view of Monaco with famed hotel and part of the Casino with the scenic mountains also shown:

From the water side, this is the view for this side of the Monaco Casino:

The charming mountain top village of Eze is nearby and offers great view along the coast:

How far away is Eze by bus? I am not sure we can include it in our short da ashore but would like to keep my options open. Also, Haven't seen much about ATMs in Monaco. Are they easily accessible here?

By train 20 minutes once you get on the train. About 15 minutes by Taxi. Precise time can range based on traffic.

If you are there for a short time then I would focus on either Monaco or Eze but not both.
