Government taxes added

Has anyone else received notification from TA that government taxes of $15.43 per person have been added to their existing bookings? We are sailing on Westerdam in December and just received an email from TA that this was done. Just curious.

I was excited to see an email from HAL, thinking it was possibly the upgrade fairy. No, it was the taxman:(. We also owe another $15.43 per person, the email said because they underestimated the amount of taxes on our trip. Glad it wasn't $1543 per person.

No, TA hasn't called us yet. Just another example of what all of us are going to be paying and paying as the government clicks up the deficit.

I was on the 17May sailing of the Amsterdam, and didn't receive notification until we were already underway. Found a letter to that effect in our cabin mail slot.

It was added to our on board account, so perhaps could be added to our Mariner's spending credit?

Over the years we have gotten noticed about government taxes being raised before we cruised. It's not new.

Hi, we were on the Westerdam 12 night Med Romance last month and we were actually credited a little over $6.00 per person as they said we (all onboard) had been overcharged...sometimes I guess it works in our favor!
