Do you still have time for a day job??? ;)

Sadly, yes. :(

A break from woodworking sent me out early today to play with star trails.

First try at a image stacking. Only had a few minutes left before dawn today to figure out the intervalometer and get set up. Will try a much longer set tonight.

You can do no wrong with a camera in your hands Dave lol! Great capture.

I tried extracting the EXIF data and unable to do so. Can you provide some info either from this image or especially the upcoming set you propose for tonight? Since it is getting colder down here, I'd like to give stacking a try.

Thx.

My foes, the cloud family, have the return engagement on hold.

Each image was 30s - f/3.2 - ISO 400. I used my Minolta 20mm f/2.8 prime.

I solved the continuous shooting issue so the stuttery dots should now stack cleanly into trails.

Be sure to turn off long exposure noise reduction. If you dont, it will take an additional 30s dark exposure between shots making the stutter even worse than the one I posted!

Good Luck!

Justin: I might be willing to trade a few starry nights for your access to wildlife!

Actually, I got out and used Photoshop today. ;)

Not very creative Larry...If you drink enough of what's in the picture, the room looks like that without Photoshop!;)

Just kidding! That is actually pretty cool!

Great shot. Were you watching for the bee or was that just the luck of the draw? I tend not to notice things like that and am sometimes pleasantly surprised when I look at my photos.

Thanks - in this case I was actually following the bee.
