Aldeya Posted June 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2010 We are flying from LGA to MIA in September by American Airlines. Didn't fly for a loooong time so having a hard time catching up with all these new regulations. I've been reading on AA.com all I can find about what I can and can't take with me, paying for luggage, etc, etc.. It's so overwelming. Can someone give me some general pointers on flying with American Airlines these days? Any tips woyld be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. 6rugrats Posted June 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Your question is way too vague to provide any useful information. Do you have something specific you are asking about?
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2010 I would recommend showing up for your flight two hours before the flight. If you want to purchase any food on the flight you need to use a credit or debit card. They don't take cash. You may want to purchase something at the airport to bring on with you or bring something from home. Flights tend to be full. If you have specific questions, let us know. Aldeya Posted June 28, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Thank you 6rugrats and Keith1010. After I posted I kept reading these boards and the best advice I got was to check www.tsa.gov for all the details I need to know (should've figure it out myself but...:D I think I just got overwelmed with too much information and panicked a little. Thanks again.
6rugrats Posted June 28, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2010 You will be fine; it's not that complicated once you read through it. If you get confused by something specific, come back and ask.
NHBob Posted June 28, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Also, fairly lengthy departure delays are not unsusual at LGA, especially as the day progresses. Strongly recommend flying into MIA the day before your embarkation. Bob
