cooncat_mom Posted July 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2010 We're going to be doing Port Canaveral as a port of call from 10AM to 10PM. RCI offers shuttles to the theme parks for $33/pp. We have 4 adults who plan to go to Sea World, so a car rental would definitely be cheaper (& give us more freedom). Question is, can it be done? Looks like Enterprise closes at 6PM. How hard will it be to get to Port from there if we return the car after hours?

cooncat_mom Posted July 12, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Thanks for the info! Does anyone know if the rental car drop-off are in fairly safe areas to wait for cabs at?
reallyitsmema Posted July 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2010 We have rented from both Budget and Hertz and wouldn't feel uncomfortable waiting at either for a taxi. Though we have never returned a car at night, we have gotten back to the Residence Inn after dark and Hertz shares the same driveway as Residence Inn. That area is very well lit and has a Burger King right beside it. Budget is just a little further down the street on the same major road. We have never used Enterprise so I can't help you there. You could always wait in the rental until the taxi got there and then drop the keys in the drop off but I really wouldn't be concerned.

GamblingMommy Posted July 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Any idea of how much a cab will cost from the return location (assuming it's after hours) back to the cruise ship?
