Hey there Sandy - soooo excited for this one (and no...I still haven't mentioned it to the other half so continue the shhh please).

Beth and Dan are booked and oh so ready! (well, ok Beth is but Dan will be too when he finds out)

With group and the 25.00 deposit, you are guaranteed that category but no location until you change to full deposit. The sooner you switch to full deposit you can choose what they have left. Earlier switching gets the best cabins, the longer you wait the worst the cabin location will be. 25.00 sounds good on the surface but it won't be if you wait too long. Having said that though, I would be happy to sail that cruise in a broom closet. I've done it before on Celebrity and RCI, both times were fabulous, hopefully Carnival will be OK.

 

By the way, how long does it take to get pricing. I've sent email but have not heard anything back.

 

If you are the least bit concerned about what cabin you will end up in I would recommend picking one. My experience has been good so far though :)

 

Did you email Sandy for pricing? She got back to me in minutes so maybe she didn't get your email. I would send it again!

I usually do early seating because if I eat late, I am falling asleep by the time I get my warm chocolate melting cake. :D

 

We usually select early dining too. And since there are 8 sea days we may do the same. I guess it is only a problem in the 2 port days where we don't sail until 11pm ;)

Sandy what category did you book? What is your or anyone elses experience with the guarantee cabins. Dont want to be all the way to the front and dont want to be under a noisy area .... what does everyone else think opinions welcome please.:D

 

Check out the deck plans on Carnival's website. It will show where the 4B, 4C, 8B and 8C cabins are, so you know you'll be in one of those. If there is a particular cabin you want in those categories, you can always book it (if it's available), but you'd have to put down the full deposit.

The little town of Bath about 90 miles south of Rochester - near Corning if you're familiar with this area.

 

Yes I know where that is. I grew up on Long Island. I live in Mn. now but sure do miss the culture and food choices in N.Y.

Linda, I like early dining but if we get back late, there is always casual dining. I don't know how Carnival works, but on Princess if you miss your scheduled seating you can slide over to anytime dining. Is Carnival that way also?

Your dining time is your dining time :o no switching:( BUT you can on those nights book the steak house (LOVED IT) for the time that is best for you!:)
