cotomom Posted August 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Can anyone elaborate in detail on what specifically they ate at Giovanni's Table on the Oasis, either for lunch or dinner? Pictures would be most appreciated too!

deneen716 Posted August 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2010 We returned from the Oasis on July 31st. We went to Giovanni's Table for lunch. There were 3 of us. Among us, we had the caprese and ceasar salads, the flatbread and the fried seafood platter, and anitipasti. We all had the lasagna and tomatio soup. Then we each had a different entree. The grill shrimp(which was the size of a lobster tail), the sole fillets-you can tell we like seafood and the chicken breast. For dessert we had canollis, tiramisu and the zuppa inglese It was all delicous, all the food was hot-much better than the dining room imo. And more than the food the atmosphere was just wonderful. You really felt like you were at a shore side restaurant but you were really on a ship. The waitstaff were very attentive. The service was just the pace and our glasses were never allowed to get empty. I would reccommend making a reservation.
skiiergirl Posted August 8, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Can anyone elaborate in detail on what specifically they ate at Giovanni's Table on the Oasis, either for lunch or dinner? Pictures would be most appreciated too! We dined there for lunch one day back in December. It was ok but nothing special.....in our opinion. Service was good and food was decent but just not spectacular. As the price is lower than the other specialty restaurants we weren't expecting it to be as good as the others. We were glad we did it once but will probably not do it again. Mr. Ski would rather have Johnny Rockets or WJ. It has been awhile but I believe we had one caesar salad and the shrimp appetizer and then we had one lasagna and one sole. All acceptable but have had better.
