Can OBC be used for tips?

I will be cashing out some points from my RCL Visa card for OBC and I wasn't sure if the credit could be used for gratuities. The rules talk about using it for spa, beverages or other misc. charges. It doesn't mention tips, but it doesn't seem to exclude them either. Has anyone used their OBC towards tips?

Yes, you can use OBC for tips if you'd like.

It all comes out on the bill if you choose to have tips added to your account.

As long as you are not trying to pre-book My Time Dining which requries you to pay gratuities upfront

An OBC can be used for anything that's charged to your account...it is actually a "credit" against the "debits" (or charges) that you make.

Our last cruise we had $550 in OBC. It paid for our tips, soda cards, water, Chops, excursions, etc.

Be sure to use up all your OBC. Some OBC is refundable, some is not

According to the last RCCL I had spoken to about OBC the monies placed in your account by RCCL is used up first. Then , any gifts or monies added to your account will be used. Yes all OBC can be used for tips...
