Do I have enough time?

Island Wings has scheduled me for a 1:30 PM flight and we are supposed to arrive at the Ketchikan port at 1 PM. Having never been on a cruise before, is 1/2 hour enough time? Michelle is aware of our arrival time and she is the one who has given me the 1:30 time. I am on Radisson Mariner so it's not a mega ship. Do the ships usually make their scheduled port times?

These private vendors rely on cruise ship passengers for their business. Usually, they know when the ships come in and will adjust schedules accordingly. It is in both yours and Michelle's best interest to wait for you. I wouldn't worry about it.

 

If you dock - there shouldn't be any problems with making the 1:30 time. If you have to tender, you may be a little late.

If this time was her recommendation, based on your port time, then NO WORRIES. Just be certain to get exact pick up location- usually the rain gage? This is on the left side of the visitor center. Enjoy the flight!

As the other posters have mentioned, the tour operator depends on the cruise passengers (and their recommendations) for their livelihood. If she gave you a 1:30 time, it is undoubtedly based off her experience. Since the Mariner is a smaller vessel than say the Celebrity Summit or Coral Princess, she can accurately estimate how quickly you can get off the ship and plan her schedule accordingly.
