Repositioning Cruise Muster Drill Question

We are on the Coral Princess repositioning cruise from Vancouver to FLL. We purchased this as an 18 day single cruise.

 

The ship stops in LAX and drops off people who are doing a 3 day coastal cruise and picks up people who will do the LAX to FLL 15 day.

 

So, will we have to attend the muster drill in LAX also? Or just the one in Vancouver?

No, you are essentially doing a b2b. On the second leg of a b2b you do not have to do the muster drill if you have done one in the last 30 days

We did this cruise last October. You don't need to attend the muster drill in LA. You'll receive a notice in your stateroom that you are not required to.

We've also been told (unofficially of course) that if we were comfortable and familiar with the boat we could stay in our cabin and nap (whatever) during the drill. They just don't want individuals out wandering the halls while the drill in in progress.

Princess is good about this. I was on a HAL 28-day cruise that was also sold as two 14-day cruises. I was told absolutely, positively, I had to go to the 2nd Muster and they would be taking roll call and know whether I was missing at the 2nd Muster. It wasn't a B2B; they had a special name just for the 28-day cruise.
