New People Mover from Marittima port

We are arriving in Venice by ship .... Pacific Princess... Could anyone advise me on how to find the people mover from the dock to Piazzale Roma? From there we will walk to Hotel Antiche Figure, over two small bridges, along the canal. The hotel is across the canal from the train station. Is this walk, with luggage, doable? About how long will it take us?

Thanks for any advice!

The people mover is located at 45.439663,12.313399

Copy and paste into google maps (sat view)

The hotel is at 45.440316,12.322005

From the cruise terminal to P Roma is afew minutes and 1 euro

From P. Roma to your hotel is 600 yards there are 2 bridges that each have stairs. The Ponte Santa Chiara and the Ponte de la Crosa

This was on the TripAdvisor web site, in English! Sounds easy enough.

We cruised at the end of May with RCL and they had a shuttle bus that took us between the pier and Piazzele Roma which was sooo easy. (You might check with Princess to see if they still run their shuttle.) The bus dropped us off next to the D2 sign post; your hotel was clearly visible from there, so it's a short walk to your hotel! The bridges can be a bear with luggage tho; luckily we only had one wheeled case each.

The last time we cruised with Princess out of Venice (about 15 months ago) the cruise lines opted not to provide the shuttle service between the port and Piazale Roma. Whether those free buses run seems to be at the whim of each cruise line and, knowing Italy, probably depends on which way the wind is blowing that day :) The people mover is a wonderful new option but might still cause some difficulties for those with a lot of luggage.

The people mover is on your right as you come out of the port.

We used this on our recent cruise from Piazzalle Roma to the port at 1 euro each it was cheaper than a taxi,

There is plenty of room for luggage but limited seating.

I believe your hotel is opposite right corner as you disembark the people mover station there is 1 large bridge if you walk straight down to the water, via an alleyway. We made the mistake of heading right then went over 1 small bridge then the large bridge.

It is doable with luggage, just make sure you can lift your suitcases, makes it easier.
