theropers Posted August 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2010 For breakfast and lunch are you required to dress up? In other words are slacks, sport coat and long sleeve shirt required for the men? What is the dress code like for women at these times? Can we get by with nice shorts and polo shirt? Whatever casual and comfortable means to you works for breakfast and lunch.
Kellie Dobbie Posted August 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2010 It's good to know that comfort of the guests are on top in terms of dress codes.
cb at sea Posted August 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Shorts, tees, flip-flops are fine for breakfast and lunch in the dining room. You can even have your bathing suit under your clothes, if you want. The WJ will allow swimsuit cover-ups, as long as your butt and tummy aren't showing. griffy116 Posted August 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2010 At breakfast, you'll see people in shorts, t's and flip flops. You'll even see some of the cover-ups that look like a little cotton dress over a swimsuit. If we have a beach day or excursion planned, we dress for the day, being mindful to put a cover up (not just a t-shirt with swimsuit bottom) on before heading to the dining room. There are sometimes 6-8 of us at breakfast and we've found it's easier and quicker for a large group to go to the MDR for breakfast. It's hard to find a large table at breakfast in the Windjammer. We have a nice quiet breakfast and head out. At lunch, if we've been out at the pool, and decide to eat in the MDR, we run to our room and slip on something dry. Dinner is when shorts and t's aren't appropriate for the MDR.
