Oceangoer2 Posted August 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2010 We've sailed on the Solstice and the Equinox and requested a table for 2. On both ships, these tables were too close for comfort to the other tables. Is this the same situation on the Millennium? Perhaps the tables for 2 on the window may have a little more room? zoncom Posted August 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Upon embarcation go to MDR, ask MaitreD to see your table location. If unacceptable, be prepared with a nice tip to get better table. Windows usually go to those who paid the most.
Peteymil Posted August 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2010 The table for 2 situation is much better on the M-class ships. We have had several locations that are just fine, and quite private.
Oceangoer2 Posted August 25, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks for your responses. I thought it might not be as cramped on the M!
Fblack Posted August 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Actually, while you will not be cramped in a table for 2 on the M class ships, many of the table for 2's are in terrible locations. Like up against a wall next to the kitchen doors, or right in the path of all the waiters. So be sure you go right to the Maitre D when you board and check your location. Canuckdoc Posted August 25, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Just wondering if this holds true for the select dining group as well...
TeaBag Posted August 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2010 We didn't see any tables for two next to a window. Yes, that is correct, most of the tables are next to a wall or near to the path of the waiters going to their tables. Ours was close enough to the table next to us that we often conversed as if we were a table for 4, but we enjoyed their company.
