ES price drop- small problem

This morning I found on the Carnival site a price drop for my cruise on the Triumph next week. Sent the form in and received the discount this afternoon. Small problem. I already had an OBC of $25 for cashing in an FCC. Guess what, it was removed and the only OBC showing now is the $20.50 for the current price drop. Sent an email back asking for assistance in giving me back my origional OBC. Has anyone ever had something like this happen?

No, but I got denied (they were wrong) and emailed back to the email I got from them, and they got back to me within 24 hours. This was within the last 2 weeks, so recently. They seem to be pretty caught up if you email them.

Your PVP can also contact them. Mine was on vacation and I didnt need her luckily.

Just email them back and explain it.

Fire, I emailed them back as soon as I saw the FCC OBC was gone. I expect to hear back from them tomorrow morning. Carnival seems to be processing ES price drops request much quicker than when the program started. Why don't you come up and sail with us next week, lots of cabins left it looks like.

Call- what you see may or may not include all your OBC. We sent in two vouchers and found today that we had the credit for deposits on both cruises, and the OBC for only one. I called Carnival and the person I spoke to saw the OBC for both. So, as long as she sees it I figure I am good.

The pattern to me is that the closer you are to sailing the faster they are processed. Just think if you can find a lower price two days before sailing they have to get it processed in time.

All fixed! I gave them a call and and the Reservation Support Specialist was able find and fix the problem very quickly. Mistakes happen, important thing is that they were able correct the problem. 5 and a wake up!

Yea!!! :D

See they got to mine pretty fast too.

Hey Traveler ... ya know, I do wonder if this happened to me. I had stock OBC get knocked off too ... but it didnt have anything I know of to do with a price drop. It does seem to happen.

Last November I had found a lower price 3days before, this was my 2nd early saver submitted. Didn't hear back prior to the cruise. Sailing date was Nov 15, submitted on the 12th. They replied on the 15, but by that time we were already on board. When I got back on the 22nd, I saw the email, but noticed that 2nd OBC wasn't on my account as it had been approved. Only OBC I had was $100. I emailed the ES email back and mentioned my additional $ 240 was missing. They credited it back to my CC.

Great customer service with this program.

Bring them all along, we'll have a great party to celebrate the event. I am very happy for your sister, she is a great person and deserves to have even more happiness in her life. Give the bride a peck on the cheek for me.

*It looks like our next sailing together will be next December on the Magic.

If that's the sister who won't be cruising because the hubby doesn't like it, then I'd say "bon voyage" :D

Wow...I sound like I need more coffee this morning.

OP - Glad you got the mix up fixed.

If I had gotten in before they changed the 150% and discounts from the TA combined ... I probably would be fine, but Im not going to pay 200% in a 1A to go. $1300 ... if someone else wants a roommie, Im keeping the booking, but will cancel before final payment if I dont find a roomie.

I know I need more coffee. He said he will go next January with us... doing us a favor. I need to change his mind about liking cruising.
