Pre-purchasing tickets, Barcelona

Have read that tickets for La Sagrada Familia shoud be pre-purchased. We are due to arrive in Barcelona at 9:00am. Should we choose the 1:00-3:00 session? Also, is it necessary to pre-purchase tickets for Casa Mila? Thanks for any suggestions.

Buying tix on line will allow you to walk in without waiting in line.IF you don't have much time then it might be a good idea.

I have not seen the La Pedrera tix offered on line so I don't know where to buy them ahead of time.

Some folks with short time in the city look at Sagrada Familia from the outside and then spend the rest of their time doing other things. Remember it is a construction site so if dust bothers you then stay outside.

We bought the tickets on line and could get in within seconds at the site entrance: If you face the side you see left the regular ticket lines and then to the right there is another ticket booth (Information) where you just tell your name and show your receipt and you are in.

Currently the server of FOTKI is down so you cannot see the pictures.

If you want to see the tower you need to queue up another time inside. But maybe 13.00 hrs is quite late... to avoid the long queues. We did it directly shortly after opening and still have to wait 15 minutes (which might be nothing...)

Casa Mila you cannot pre-book as individual your ticket. Only Casa Battló which is totally great as you can just collect them at the ATM of a certain bank network and you can just by-pass the ticket-line and get immediate access.

I don't think there is much of a need to order tickets for Casa Batllo online. We walked there at 11:00 am on a friday in mid-July. The line was two minutes long. We bought tix and went right in.

While the others were queuing up... we entered with our pre-purchased tickets just left of the ticket booth...

Thanks everyone for all the help. Since the 1:00-3:00 time slot for the Sagrada Familia seems late, would it be best to choose the 9:00-11:00 time the morning following our arrival in Barcelona?

PERFECT...

Then the next you do queueing up for the lift for the tower... looks so:

If you come later they might stand upto...
