I sailed Voyager last year for 12 nights thru Europe. The Royal Promendade is great; they have parades; and its great for people watching. The pool area is lively; they have bands playing, drinks flowing, and belly flop contests. The food was great; the shows were good, what else would u like to know?

There are a lot of days at sea, so I am just trying to figure out exactly what there will be for my husband & me to enjoy (ages 27 & 31)! We aren't exactly "partiers" (aka we don't like to get drunk every night) , so it's great to hear about the other amenities! I had read a few mixed reviews of Voyager - that she is a little bit too old, etc., so it's great to hear the positive stuff. I also like to hear about the Voyager class ships because I've never been on one.

Thanks so much, everyone!

We sailed voyageur almost 10 years ago this week. At the time, it was an e/w carribean route. Great, great, great memories (but then again - it was our honeymoon :p)

At that time, Voyageur was a brand new ship ... one of the first with the rock climbing walls (if I recall). It was also intended to be less "glitzy" and more refined than the other ships.

On the dream in January .... we pulled up beside it port and I reall wished that i were aboard her instead of the dream :(

I am about to do my 5th sailing on Voyager. I love the ship. I think she is beautiful. I believe that she has one of the best crews in the fleet.

There is always something to do on sea days on every RCI ship. We are big fans of Trivia. On longer sailings there are speakers and seminars on interesting topics. On our last Transatlantic there was a retiree from the Space Program who gave several very popular lectures.

As for the smoke from the casino coming into the Royal Promenade (mall) that is just not true. The staircase is not in the middle of the Promenade, but at one end and the exhaust system keeps it in the casino. I am extremely sensitive to tobacco smoke and I'm a cancer survivor. Do you think I'd be about to sail on that ship for the fifth time if it was a problem? There is a sports bar on the Promenade that permits smoking and that might be what the poster experienced, but it's pretty much confined to inside the bar and you can walk on the other side of the Prom and not experience smoke at all.

My favorite dining treat is the Tutti salad in the main dining room at lunch time on sea days. This is a salad bar where you choose and the staff puts it in a huge bowl, mix it for your and put in a smaller, but still huge salad bowl. The line moves very quickly, don't worry. Don't miss it!

There is a really lovely hot tub in the gym. There are also separate sauna and steam rooms in the men's and ladies locker rooms. They are free.

There is always great music on Voyager and the shows are great. The ice show is spectacular.

Voyager is a great ship and I don't think she shows her age at all.

Start on the deck that has the lifeboats and walk all the way forward. Take the stairs up and you will find yourself on the heli-pad that is surrounded by park benches to sit on and enjoy the view. Especially at night when the stars are out. But if it is too windy or the weather isn't so nice, they will have the stairs roped off so you won't be able to climb up there.

On our last day, we decided to give putt putt a try.

We thought how fun chasing the ball around as it rolls back an forth.

Nope, just like putt putt on land, the ball stops and waits to be hit again.

We will be playing at least once a day in April, we had a blast.

Go find the Peak a Boo bridge window.

Make sure you knock a bunch, they love that.........

Just kidding, they will put you in a dingy and set you adrift. :D

Booked on Voyager for 14 nights in November, cannot wait for it to come up. We were lucky enough to have been on Radiance back in 2007, hopefully this will be just as good as that cruise was.
