Does anyone know if the museums are closed on Mondays

You need to check for each specific museum. Most museums in Paris are closed one day a week which is generally a Monday or Tuesday. For example, the Musee d'Orsay (my favorite museum) is closed on Monday and the Louvre is closed on Tuesday. If you simply google any specific museum you can easily find out the opening hours and days.

The Rodin, Marmottan, Carnavalet and Versailles are all also closed on Monday. The Orangerie, Cluny and Pompidou Center are also closed on Tuesday. I have had to figure all this out as we will be in Paris on a Monday and Tuesday.
