rlse9 Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2010 I'll be in Barcelona for a night here in a few days. I've been to Barcelona a few times during the day but never at night. Any recommendations of sites in Barcelona that are worth seeing at night?
riffatsea Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Everything is open until about 8PM. Sagrada Familia lit up at night is something to see. If you are in town Thurs.-Sun. go to the Magic Fountain.
Kerry's Girls Posted September 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2010 I'll second Sagrada Familia - it's really lovely at night, and the area around it was an enjoyable stroll with lots of people wandering (some of the streets in the area are pedestrian only), places to eat, etc. Best, Mia
rlse9 Posted September 16, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Excellent. I was wondering whether or not Sagrada Familia was lit up at night or not. It looks so awesome during the day that I'd imagine it looks wonderful at night, too.

Agree on Magic Fountain or perhaps a show at the Palace of Catalan Music (depending on what the show it - but this is an incredible building). ab0si Posted September 16, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Depends on your tastes. Barcelona has a thriving arts community. Quite a bit of interesting new music and art. Bel Luna is often excellent (but it depends heavily on who is playing that night; you might gt stuck with bossa nova or soul rather than jazz.) You should definitely go to see the Magic Fountains if you are there on a Saturday night. The shows set to music are at 9.30, 10.00, 10.30 and 11pm. When we were there 2 weeks ago we used the metro , nearest station is Placa Espanya and it was very easy to find.
Lou33 Posted September 27, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 27, 2010 If you like classical music, then the Palace of Catalyn Music is a must see. They offer many tours during the daytime just to see the building from inside, but why not go to a concert during the evening? Then you can see this wonderful building and see a concert at the same time. http://www.palaumusica.org/
